YLC Conference 2015: Beyond Nostra Aetate

Registration is open - Spaces still available for annual conference this year in Rome, June 25th to June 28th - Theme: "Beyond Nostra Aetate: Visioning for the Next Generation"

Every year the Young Leadership Council, the youth branch of the ICCJ, brings together Jews, Christians and Muslims for an interfaith dialogue. The purpose of our yearly conference is to bring together young people from across the world in order to meet, share and learn from and about each other as well as encourage and train them in skills relating to dialogue facilitation. This year we will be meeting in Rome at Casa Tra Noi in the days before the ICCJ conference. This year's meeting will take place from June 25th to June 28th under the theme "Beyond Nostra Aetate: Visioning for the Next Generation."

The conference will include meaningful encounters, fun workshops and simply living life together for a little while. We will have a look around different religious communities around Rome and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “Nostra Aetate”, a very important document that led to massive changes in the way the Catholic Church relates to other faith. With that in mind we are going to take a look into the future are going to try and grapple with what “In Our Time” means for our generation. What obstacles we will have to overcome and new opportunities we will have to consider and expand on.

Space is still available and applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so please apply as soon as possible. .
