On behalf of the Abrahamic Forum of the International Council of Christians and Jews we take great pleasure in sending you our hearty greetings for a happy and blessed festival - Eid Mubarak!Eid Ul Fitr which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan is a time of renewal and re-commitment. We, the Abrahamic Forum of the ICCJ share these feelings as we embark on our new project of reviving the Abrahamic Forum as a trilateral Jewish-Christian-Muslim committee within the ICCJ.

Cracow Conference successful.
Some 180 participants gathered from July 3-6 in Cracow Poland, to attend the annual conference of the International Council of Christians and Jews. This conference on ' Religions and Ideologies' was organized in cooperation with the Faculty for International and Political studies of the Cracovian Jagiellonian University.
New ICCJ Board elected.
During the 57th ICCJ Annual General Meeting, held on Thursday July 7 at the Qubus Hotel in Cracow, elections for the ICCJ Executive Board had to take place. The ICCJ Constitution states that ICCJ Executive members serve the organization for a three year term and only can be re-elected once in the same position. Two board members stepped down. Mrs. Gunnel Borgegard from Sweden and Rabbi Andrew Goldstein from Great Britain. Gratitude was expressed for their involvment in ICCJ for many years.
Prime Minister of Hesse visits Israel
The Prime Minister of the German Federal State of Hesse visited Israel last week. The Christian-Democrat Mr. Volker Bouffier headed a delegation of thirty. Among many other items on his program, there were two interfaith activities. A meeting with local interfaith activists at Tantur Institute and a long Erev Shabbat meeting, including Shabbat service and dinner, at Yedidya synagogue, the congregation of ICCJ President Dr. Deborah Weissman.

On Sunday, May 1st, at Center Church on the Green in New Haven, Connecticut, the Gandhi Peace Award was presented to ICCJ’s 1st Vice President Rabbi Ehud Bandel, a co-founder of Rabbis for Human Rights, and to Rabbi Arik Ascherman General Secretary of the organization.
ICCJ 2012 Manchester conference
While ICCJ is gearing up for the 2011 Cracow conference, preparations for the 2012 conference started. The 2012 ICCJ conference will be held in Manchester (UK) and you may now already want to make a note of the dates: Sunday, July 1 until Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Letter of the President
On the last few occasions that I have written, it has been to mourn the victims of some natural disaster, such as an earthquake or tsunami. Today I decided to respond to a few important, albeit very diverse, events, which reflect areas over which we as human beings have responsibility.
