Sao Paulo CCJ 50 years

In September 1962, Father Calixto Vendram (catholic priest), Hella Moritz (Jewish Community) and Sister Alda (Sisters of Our Lady of Sion), founded the Council of Jewish-Christian Fraternity. So this year we are celebrating its Golden Jubilee!

In March, for the third time, we celebrated the Seder at S. Louis Gonzaga, a Jesuit parish. More than 100 people attended the event, leaded by Rabbi Alexandre Leone.

In August, we had a roundtable on the Possibilities and Challenges of Interreligious Dialogue today. People from several organizations joined us: Center for Jewish Culture, Methodist University, Catholic University and the Muslim Community.

On December 2, closing the Jubilee, we had a concert of renowned Choir Luther King. The program included songs from different sources. Among other: Let's break, Aaronic Blessing, African Mass Sanctus, Jerushalayim. The concert was held in the Chapel of Our Lady of Sion High School, with a large audience. After the concert, we had a happy hour. Great was the joy of the people who participated in this Golden Jubilee.
