On Monday November 17th, Father Emile Shoufani, known to the French speaking world as «The Priest of Nazareth» received the prestigious award of the French A.J.C.

The ICCJ’s Immediate Past President, Dr Debbie Weissman, was presented with an honorary doctorate from the Hebrew Union College (HUC) in Jerusalem.

On invitation of the Christian-Jewish Committee Burgenland - a member of our Austrian member organization, the Coordinating Committee for Christian-Jewish Cooperation - a cross-border meeting with various initiatives engaged in Christian-Jewish cooperation was held at the end of October.

In collaboration with our member organization, the Interreligious Coordinating Council in Israel (ICCI) and moderated by our Immediate Past President, Dr Deborah Weissman, Jews, Christians, and Muslims gathered last week at the multidisciplinary art event “Imagine – Prayers and Reflections on Peace”.

Our French member organization, the Amitié Judéo-Chrétienne de France (ACJF), has lost of its honourees. Father Bernard Dupuy, who died on October 3, 2014, had, together with Chief Rabbi René Samuel Sirat, received the ACJF’s Prize in 1998, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Amitié judéo-chrétienne de France.
